Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our 3D modeling courses

General Questions

No prior experience is required for our Fundamentals of 3D Modeling course. This program is specifically designed for complete beginners. However, our Advanced Texturing and Character Modeling courses do require basic to intermediate 3D modeling knowledge. We offer a free assessment to help determine which course is right for you.

Our courses cover industry-standard software including Blender, Maya, ZBrush, and Substance Painter. The Fundamentals course focuses primarily on Blender, while advanced courses incorporate multiple tools. All software licenses are provided during your enrollment period.

Course duration varies by program. The Fundamentals course runs for 8 weeks, Advanced Texturing for 10 weeks, and Character Modeling for 12 weeks. Each course includes twice-weekly sessions of 3-4 hours, plus additional time for homework and projects.

We maintain small class sizes to ensure personalized attention. Our Fundamentals course has a maximum of 12 students, Advanced Texturing has 10 students, and Character Modeling is limited to 8 students per class. This allows instructors to provide individual feedback and support.

Enrollment and Payment

Enrollment is simple. Contact us through our website, phone, or visit our Auckland location. We'll schedule a brief consultation to discuss your goals and recommend the appropriate course. Once you've selected a program, you can complete enrollment online or in person.

We accept various payment methods including credit cards, bank transfers, and payment plans. For courses over NZD $1,000, we offer interest-free payment plans that allow you to spread the cost over the duration of the course. Contact us to discuss payment options that work for your budget.

Yes, we offer a satisfaction guarantee. If you're not satisfied within the first two weeks of the course, you can withdraw for a full refund minus a small administrative fee. After the two-week period, refunds are prorated based on the remaining course duration. Please review our complete return policy for details.

We offer multiple start dates throughout the year, typically at the beginning of each month. New cohorts for all three courses start every 6-8 weeks. Contact us for the next available start date for your chosen program.

Technical Requirements

All workstations are provided at our Auckland facility during class sessions. However, we recommend having a personal computer for homework and practice. Minimum specifications include: Intel i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 processor, 16GB RAM, dedicated graphics card with 4GB VRAM, and 50GB free storage.

No additional software purchases are required. We provide educational licenses for all commercial software during your enrollment. Blender is free and open-source, so you can continue using it after the course. We also provide guidance on obtaining student licenses for continued learning.

Currently, all our courses are conducted in-person at our Auckland location to ensure the best learning experience and direct instructor interaction. However, we do provide online resources, recorded sessions, and remote support for homework assistance.
